Daniel Lewis Sharp

Daniel Lewis Sharp, 76 passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Daniel was born on Sunday, October 17, 1947, in Albia, Iowa to Claude and Nellie Sharp. Daniel was united in Holy Matrimony to the apple of his eye, Loretta on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023, at Calvary First Baptist Church by Bishop C. E. Richardson, Sr.

Daniel grew up in Albia, Iowa and at the age of 16 he joined the Navy. Daniel retired from the Navy after serving 23 years. Daniel also worked for the Postal Service and retired after 24 years. He received his Pilgrim Degree from the Moose Lodge which he was very proud of. Daniel was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Association 94. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them.

He is preceded in death by both parents Claude and Nellie Sharp; Johnny Lynn Sharp, first wife; Daniel William (Willie) Sharp, son, and sister Nellie Smith.

Surviving Daniel is survived by his second wife Loretta Sharp; two daughters, Kimberly (Candy) Holderfield (Jim); Debra (Debi) Bramblett; two step-daughters, LaTanya Parker and Sinsarity Parker. Brothers, Lee (Cindy) Sharp, Frank (Fran) Sharp and Jon Claude Sharp. Sisters, Mary Allison and Sandra Jackson. Grandchildren Chelsea (Manny) Garza, Krystal (Nikki) Bridges, Kiersten Bramblett, Legacy Love Ridgeway, Cody Bridges, Hunter Holderfield. Great Grandchildren Dakota Holderfield, Allen James (AJ) Holderfield and Eliana Garza. And many family and friends. Daniel will be truly missed by many.
