

On the morning of May 29, 2016, surrounded and comforted by his family The Lord calledupon Darrell to come home, making his transition from earth to Heaven peaceful after a short illness. He was born on June 18, 1953 to Glen and Marian Hejl Trayler in Taylor, TX. He was raised in Corpus Christi, TX and graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1971, time after graduating and trying out different jobs, he landed a job with Del Mar Distributing until his retirement.
Darrell was a unique, special kind of gentleman, everything he did was routine and timed.
When he wasn't watching sports, which was his favorite thing to do, he was visiting or eating out with his friends on certain days. The one thing he loved the most besides his parents and as Darrell referred to him "Little Brother", was watching sports. He had a love for sports, especially for his favorite baseball team St. Louis Cardinals and favorite football team Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Marian H. Trayler.
He is survived by his brother Dale Trayler (Dalia), his nephew Tavis Trayler (Holly) and niece Tiffany Trayler and his great-nephews and nieces Aden Lopez, Cason Trayler and Natalie McCool, Madison Trayler.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shantan Reddy and Dr. M. Stewart, and express a special thank you to Angel Bright Hospice nurses and Kathy Hansen for the special care and attention you gave Darrell....Thank you!!!
Visitation is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at Cage Mills Funeral Directors Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors Chapel. A Graveside Service and Burial is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on June 2, 2016 at Taylor Cemetery in Taylor, TX.
