David Michael McDonald

David McDonald, age 50, passed away March 23, 2015. He was born on April 23, 1962 to Walt and Carol McDonald in Lubbock, Texas, where he was raised. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1982. He served in the US Army from 1982-2003. David retired as Sergeants First Class, receiving numerous military awards and commendations throughout his time of service. After retiring from the Army David was employed by Sikorsky Support Serviced, Inc.

David was a loving father, son and brother. He was devoted to his children, church and country. He loved practical jokes, enjoyed serving others and loved being in the outdoors. David is preceded in death by 2 daughters, Jennifer McDonald and Jessica McDonald, and a son Michael McDonald. David is survived by his son David Matthew McDonald of Corpus Christi, TX, his parents Walt and Carol McDonald of Lubbock, TX, his sister Cindy Wright and family of Richardson, TX, his brother Charles McDonald and family of Bozeman, MT, and his mentor and wife Stu and Judy Childre of Lubbock, TX and their family. A memorial service for David will be held Thursday, April 9 at 2:00 pm at Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock, TX.
