Delfina C. Hinojosa

Delfina Cevallos Hinojosa, age 83, passed away April 1, 2015 surrounded by her children and family. She was born November 14, 1931 to Celso and Maria Cevallos in Seagraves, Texas and was raised in Edroy, Texas. Delfina married Jose Sauceda Hinojosa on November 11, 1946 and shared 60 years together. She enjoyed the company of family and friends during gatherings and celebrations. Delfina will be remembered for her devotion to her family.

Delfina is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose S. Hinojosa; daughters, Diana Hinojosa and Angelita Benavides; brothers, Miguel Cevallos, Jesus Cevallos, and Guadalupe Cevallos; sisters, Trinidad Hernandez and Elisa Hernandez.

She is survived by her children, Mary Lala (Ruben) Vega, Ninfa Hinojosa, Sylvia (Gilbert) Limon and Gilda (Adolfo) Garcia all of Corpus Christi, Texas; Noe (Tammy) Hinojosa of Grand Prairie, Texas, Jose (Sandra) Hinojosa of Corpus Christi, Texas and Gabriel Hinojosa of Austin, Texas; 14 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Prajedes Ceballos of Odessa, Texas; sisters, Zulema Lopez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Elena (Jesse) Aleman of Grand Prairie, Texas and Elvira Ramos of Knox City, Texas; and a special nephew Adam (Helen) Cevallos of Houston, Texas, who loved her like a mother.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm the same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Rey Ramirez, Noe Hinojosa, Jr., Mathew Hinojosa, Justin Hinojosa, Michael Rivera, and Joel Sanchez. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons, Adrian Garcia and Pete Gonzales.
