Domingo E. Barron

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Lucy M. Barron, several siblings, Vicente and Santos Barron, Maria Barron, Aurora B. Quesada and Valentina B. Fernandez.

He is survived by his one and only loving son Harry Ray Barron and sister, Ramona B. (Ricardo) Morales. Along to cherish his loving memories are numerous family members, nephews and nieces. Our Uncle Mingo as we called him was a caring and loving husband, father and friends.

As a young man at the age of 18 he left home in Mississippi due to the fact that he couldn’t join the military, which made him angry. He trail blazed his way to Texas, bringing our family, the Barron’s to Corpus Christi, Texas a city he fell in love with. He loved his country and was a patriot until the end. As a patriotic citizen he involved himself by flying the American Flag daily in the front yard. It was his love for his country and his way of honoring the veterans. It was a sacred symbol to him. He also did his civic duty by working at the polls on election days. For those who knew him they will eternally remember him when they see the flag.

He retired from Corpus Christi Paper Co. (Century Paper Co.) after 30 years. After retirement he was an active member of his parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Uncle Mingo helped with funerals and cared for the church grounds.

He will be missed especially by his son, Harry who lovingly and compassionately cared for his father daily. He now rest in peace.

The family will be receiving family and friends at Funeraria Del Angel for visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012 with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
