

Dora is survived by her two children, Frank (Valerie) Pompa, Catherine (Richard) Morin; five grandchildren, Alexa (Matt) Hebert, Morgan Morin, Cole Morin, Brian Pompa, Ethan Pompa; three sisters, Mary Garcia, Aurora Deases, and Eva (Ruben) Pompa. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard V. Pompa; parents, Hilario and Rosa Gonzales; five brothers, Jesse Gonzales, E. L. Gonzales, Walle Gonzales, Joe Gonzales, Tony Gonzales and her loving companion of 35 years, Ralph Cox.
Dora was born March 6, 1931 in Ricardo, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a devout Catholic and attended Christ the King Catholic Church for over sixty years. She was a faithful Schoenstatt member, and one of the pioneers of the Rosary Campaign in Texas. She faithfully served for many years in a variety of ministries at Schoenstatt and showed her strong devotion to Mary through her dedication to praying the rosary weekly. She was also an active member of the Retired Firefighter’s Association.
Visitation will be at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 10, 2017 with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Flowers can be sent to the funeral home or donations may be made in her name to the Schoenstatt Movement House, 4343 Gaines St., Corpus Christi, Texas, 78412. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dora’s life. Her loving heart and wonderful cooking will be missed by so many. Her family would like to thank all those who traveled from far and near to visit her and help us care for her. A special, heartfelt thank you to Aadi Home Health/Hospice care who answered every call and every need during this journey with our mother and guided us through our deepest hour of need.
