Born in Starr County in 1926, she moved with her family to Corpus Christi prior to WWII. She met her husband Livingston Dayton Taylor, a Naval Marine stationed in Corpus. They married in his native South Carolina and returned to settle in Corpus Christi. They were together until his death in 1983.
The daughter of the late Gonzalo and Adela Gonzalez and the youngest of eight siblings, she was the last survivor of her generation. Known as Momma Linda to all, her favorite pastime was being among her family and friends. She had a smile that lit up a room, a zest for life and a passion for animals.
She is survived by her son Adrian Taylor (Grace), her daughter Gloria (Bob Redding), her grandchildren Joshua Dysart and Leslie and Andrew Taylor and her great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Fondly referred to by Monsignor Rogers as a pistol, those that knew her closely were more apt to call her a shotgun.
