Dorothy Waldrop

She was an outstanding athlete, played softball for the Corpus Christi Blue Jays and she was inducted in the Corpus Christi Softball Hall of Fame. She was an avid bowler until her early eighties. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Waldrop.

She is survived by her children, Rick Waldrop and wife Ginger, Gary Waldrop, Sharon Herndon; four grandchildren, Roy Waldrop, Kimberley Mason, Brandon Herndon and Ashley Herndon; six great grandchildren, A.J. Waldrop, Cody Waldrop, Alexys Mason, Bradyn Mason, Claira Williams, and Arai Herndon.

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with interment to be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
