

Ed Frost, age 83, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was called home by his Lord on Friday, September 28, 2012. He was a resident of Mathis, Texas and passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas after a short illness, where he was surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Frost was born April 15, 1929 in Smackover, Arkansas to Jeff D. Frost and Icy Payne Frost. Before his retirement he was in the pipeline and plant construction industry. His passion was spending time with family and friends. Ed enjoyed doing cook-offs, gardening and landscaping his yard. He was raised a Master Mason on 6/12/1967 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge 1133, Mathis, Texas.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and sisters; and grandson, Eric Yager.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Candace Frost of Mathis; two sons, Eddy Lee Frost (Karrian Dear) of Bishop, Texas and Reid Byron Frost of Lago Vista, Texas; stepson, Glyn Owens of Weatherford, Texas; brother, Douglas Frost of The Woodlands, Texas; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Monday, October 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ernest Molina officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, Colorado 80112 (www.stroke.org).
Pallbearers will be Alan Evans, Jack Finch, Floyd Layton, D.C. McCauley, Lee Selcer, Phillip Terry, John Rudel and Jeff Faske.
Arrangements were entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, Kingsville, Texas (www.turcottepipermortuary.com); services are entrusted to Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas.
