Eleanor Singleton Smith

Eleanor Singleton Smith passed away November 10, 2018. She was 86. She was born October 3, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ambrose Edward Singleton and Rose Marie Hilse Singleton. She married Hugh Eslie Smith on August 12, 1951. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Eleanor was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Austin Smith; brother, Edward Singleton and granddaughter, Tiffany Douglas. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Hugh Smith; children, Stephen Smith, Bryan Smith and Kathleen (Richard) Turner; grandchildren, Stephen Jason Smith, Angela Kristin Smith, Ian Michael Smith, Sean Michael Turner and Lauren Melissa (Peter) Repp; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Taylor, Christopher Kindal Douglas and Laura Ann Douglas; great-great grandson, John Christopher Taylor and a sister, Elizabeth English.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 pm that evening at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be at Cage-Mills Chapel at 11:30 am, Wednesday, November, 14, 2018. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veteran’s Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410 at 1:00 pm.
