Elena served in the US Air Force for 3 years at Miss McGuire Airforce Base, while in the service she met Frederick Allan Helle and were married on August 13, 1964. She loved shopping her favorite store were Dillards Department Store and Chicos, loved dancing the twist and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Among her all time favorite songs we "My Way" by Elvis Presley and "Neon Moon" by George Straight.
Elena and Fred had their own business "Video Memoirs" for 25 years, where they filmed weddings, funerals, quinceañeras, parties and other special events. She was good friends with the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament Convent.
She loved Baby Back Ribs and her other favorite was Whataburger where it was always a Whataburger meal, no onions, toasted bun, well-don, cut in half and a diet Dr. Pepper, every single time.
Elena is survived by her spouse, Frederick Allan Helle; their children Michael (Anna) Helle, Anissa (Matt)Lloyd; David (Tonya)Helle; Matthew (Jaime) Helle; her brothers Leonardo Longoria, Pedro Longoria, Florencio Longoria, Gilberto Longoria, Tomas Longoria, Eloi V. Longoria, her sisters Emma Flores, Amalia Sanchez, Eloisa Basile; her grandchildren Cameron Helle, John Helle, Brooke Helle, Jack Cates, Elena Aguilar, Seth Forsyth, Megan Shayne Helle, Matthew Helle, Michela Helle, Maximus Helle, her great grand children, Brandon Helle, Nolan Helle, Kasey Helle, Emmett Aguilar, Nina Aguilar and Ava Helle. Elena was preceded in death by her father Eloi Vega Longoria and her mother Antonia G. Longoria.
A visitation for Elena will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A mass of christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament Convent located at 5201 Lipes Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78413. with Interment to follow at 11:00 AM at Coastal Bend Veterans State Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
