Elvira Pruitt Pruitt Villarreal

She resided in Corpus Christi, Texas. Elvira retired from the Corpus Christi Army Depot in 1974 as an electroplater.

Elvira was an avid sports fan and loved to garden. She was a simple woman with a great faith in her Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Villarreal; daughter, Irene Villarreal; father, Roy Pruitt and mother Santos G. Pruitt.

Elvira is survived by her daughters, Graciela DeLeon and Irma E. Rodriguez (Robert); grandchildren, Kathy Rodriguez (Francisco), Debra Sanchez, Stephen Rodriguez (Cathy), Jason Rodriguez, Eric J. Rodriguez (Nicki), Irene Ybarra (Matthew) and Bobby Rodriguez, (Jessica) and 17 great-grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Stephen Rodriguez, Jason Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez, Bobby Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Jessie Ruiz, Brian Sanchez and Matthew Ybarra

Public visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel- Memorial Holly chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Rites of a Christian service will conclude with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
