Ernest served his country in the United States Marines during World War II and ended his career in the United States Air Force in 1963.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Norma Jean Swain.
Ernest is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Bobbie Viola Boyd Adams and his children, Richard Ernest Adams, Harold David (Charyl) Adams, James Robert (Annetta) Adams, Kenneth Wayne (Karen) Adams, Linda Joyce (Phil) Fredrickson, Gary Lee (Ann) Adams, Patricia Ann (Rick) Smith, Randall Lynn (Carla) Adams, Sandra Viola (John) Healy, Cynthia Lynette Adams and son-in-law, Jerald Lloyd Swain; also surviving are forty grandchildren and forty-five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6630 Wooldridge on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the funeral service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
