She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fuller Jones Jr.; sisters, Vivian Jones, Evelyn Jewell, Ima Pettit, Dottie Kubala, Ruth Wessels and Billie Brunson.
She is survived by her sisters, Martha Gomes of Corpus Christi, TX, Anna B. Pierce of Dallas, TX, and Opal Vyvjala of Houston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a long time resident of Corpus Christi. She lived at Alameda Oaks since October of 2002. She was self-taught to read and write. Although she had no formal education she was an accomplished sketch artist and loved to crochet and embroidery. She was a friend to all she met.
Special thanks to all nursing and aid staff at Alameda Oaks for their care, love and support over the past 15 years.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel with a Funeral Service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
