Feliciano "Shorty" Vega Sr.

Feliciano "Shorty" R. Vega Sr., age 77, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away July 22, 2021. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico on October 20, 1943. Feliciano graduated from Roy Miller High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He later married Velinda C. Vega on March 10, 2000.

Feliciano worked as a Senior Process Technician for Citgo Petroleum Corporation. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 364 for many years. He had a passion for fishing and spending time with his beloved family.

Feliciano leaves his loving memories to his children; Feliciano (Tesla) Vega Jr., Mary Jane (Alex) Gonzales, Elizabeth (Aaron) Odom, and Amanda V. (Gerald) Vige; his grandchildren, Feliciano Vega III, Veronica Barahona, Mario Olivarez, Makenzi Odom, Cristian Vega, Thomas Medrano, Victoria Gonzalez, Andrew Smithwick, Jocelyn Vige, Valarie Vige, and Jude B. Odom; and his siblings, Jose Vega, Librada Gutierrez, Natividad Vega, Raul Vega, Pedro Vega, Evangelina Moncevais, and Cornelio Vega.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Chapel. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same night at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (540 Hiawatha St. Corpus Christi, TX) on Saturday, July 31, 2021 with Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
