He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ruben and Fernando.
Fidel leaves behind to cherish his memories; his fiancé, Melinda Maldonado; his children, Mona Zuniga (Robert), Jeremy Salinas and Matthew Salinas; four grandchildren, James, Ashtyn, Darren and Logan; siblings: Emma Chinn (Clarence) and Rick; he also leaves his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Fidel was in law enforcement for over 20 years and board member for the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators.
He was a very loving, caring, gentle giant and “Big PoPo to his grandchildren.”
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.
Chapel Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
