Florisa D. Gonzales, age 71, of Taft, Texas entered into Eternity with her precious Savior on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Florisa was born December 31, 1950 in Taft, Texas to Gilberto Diaz and Martha Guzman Diaz.
The mother that everyone called "Mom". She came to everyone's rescue. She opened her door to anyone that needed a place to stay. Flora was lively, and was everyone's best friend. Flora devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Her life-long career was a professional stay-at-home mom, and she thrived at that job. Flora was a hot commodity, as she was so easy to get along with and was the best mom, grandma, and decorator hands down. She was that grandma that would immediately climb onto the trampoline with you if you wanted her to, or sit down and play doll dress-up time, or even tea parties. Flora loved to exercise, go jogging at the track, and cooking for everyone. Often Donnie and Flora would hold praise and worship gatherings in their own home, and mom cooked for all in attendance. Flora also cooked for all the food pantry volunteers that she and Donnie served with. Their home, was your home, and all were welcomed. Adan built their home beautifully just for his bride to enjoy. Donnie and Flora were a perfect match made in heaven.
Florisa is survived by her son Adam (Monica) Gonzales; and her daughter Eva Diaz Wooldridge; siblings: Dora Garza of Corpus Christi, Oralia Gonzales of Corpus Christi, Rosa Nieto, Irene (Mark) Carey of Pearland, TX, Connie (Margie Salinas) Diaz of Angleton, TX, Guadalupe (Doris Garcia) Diaz of Alice, TX, Gilbert (Diana) Diaz, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Joe (Lorena) Diaz, of Angleton, Texas, Ester (Jack) Dillingham of Corpus Christi, Israel Diaz.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX.
