Frances de la Fuente

Frances attended Del Mar College, where she obtained college credit hours, and she dedicated her career to helping others as a teacher’s aide. She married the love of her life, Johnny De La Fuente, on December 29, 1955, in Bexar County. Frances worked with Nueces County Community Action Agency for nearly 20 years and generously volunteered her time with Corpus Christi Independent School District and various church organizations.

Frances loved crocheting, working on puzzles, cooking, sewing, and attending sporting events. She also enjoyed traveling. Especially her memorable trips to Las Vegas and NBA playoff games. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, and the deep love she shared with everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and other beloved family members. She is survived by her loving husband Johnny; her children Sandra, Johnny Jr., Ana, Rosalinda, Anthony, and Patricia; her brothers and sisters; and her cherished grandchildren.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who shared in Frances’ life; friends, volunteers, and all who offered love and support throughout the years. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Though she may no longer be with us, Frances’s warmth, laughter, and love will continue to shine through the lives of her family and friends. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Corpus Christi, 549 Cheyenne St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78405. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM that evening. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX.
