
Rufino S. Munoz age 60 was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ after a long courageous battle with cancer. His passing was peaceful at home surrounded by his devoted wife Martha and children.
Rufino was born January 27, 1949 in San Diego, Texas to the late Raul and Idalia Munoz also preceded by his brother Mando Munoz, father-in-law Macedonio Hernandez, and sister-in-law Janie Hernandez.
Rufino was raised in Corpus Christi, and graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1967 where he made friends with everyone. He could never say no to anyone and always ready to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed playing golf and holding family Bar B Q's.
He spent 15 years in Friendswood, Texas, outside Houston, where he worked for NASA then returned back to Corpus Christi to be with his children and grandchildren.
Rufino leaves behind his family to cherish his memories, wife Martha Hernandez Munoz; four daughters; Roni Munoz (Roland), Valerie Moeller (Mark), Gina Garcia (Juan), Sandy Munoz; two sons Fonzie Munoz (Tonya) and Mikey Munoz all of Corpus Christi. Four sisters; Velma Perez (Felix), Gracie Espinosa (Steve), Sally Munoz, Lala Tamez (Israel). Three brothers; Raul Munoz, (Maria), Bobby Munoz (Norma), Roland Munoz (Rose); fourteen grandchildren, Amanda, Alyssa, Allison, Andrew, Sarah, Jordan, Megan, Marina, Matthew, AJ, Andrew, Aden, Anthony, Isabella, numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday July 14, 2009 with a Funeral Service to be conducted at 7:00 P.M. that same evening at Funeraria Del Angel funeral home chapel located at 549 Cheyenne and Morgan Ave.
I have fought the good fight, I finished my Course, and I have kept the faith.
