Gabriel Fernandez Jr.

A much loved father; grandfather; son; brother; uncle; cousin; friend, and ranchero, Gabriel (Gaby) Fernandez Jr., 55 was called to heaven by our Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, April 25, 1958 to Gabriel Sr. and Enedina Fernandez.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gabriel M. Fernandez Sr. and son John Gabriel (Bo) Fernandez.

He is survived by his partner in crime, his mother Enedina Fernandez; children, Jessica (Nick) Garza, Fabian (Rose) Fernandez, Adrian Fernandez; grandchildren Nickie, Alexus, Naydina, Baby Nick, JD, Jordin, and Railina; the mother of his children, Chris Fernandez; and two brothers and six sisters.

Everyone who knew Gaby had wonderful and often crazy stories to share about him. He was a great and kind hearted guy, the type who would drop what he was doing in a heartbeat to help any person or animal out. One of Gaby's many talents was bringing laughter to any room with his famous phrase "CHOOT IT!"

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2013 at Funeraria del Angel-Cheyenne with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church with a burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
