Genoveva Galvan

Genoveva was preceded in death by her mother, Francisca Vidarri; daughter, Maria Christina Vega; grandmother, Savedra Alaniz; grandson, Mark Anthony Rodriguez; and her granddaughter, Maria Olivia "Bebe" Vega. Also preceding her in death are Geranimo Vidarri, Benito Vidarri and Benjamin Alaniz.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 44 years, Rodolfo "Rudy" Rivera; sons, Crescencio Rodriguez, Sr. (Irene), Francisco Rodriguez, Sr. (Connie), Reynaldo Rodriguez (Terry), Ricardo Garcia Sr. (Beatrice), Roberto Galvan, Sr. (Olga), Ramiro Rodriguez, Sr. (Betsy) and son-in-law, Juan R. Vega, Sr. Also surviving her are 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to extent special thanks to all the nurses of Nurses on Wheels Hospice; Anna, Michelle, Alicia, Cynthia, and Felix for all you did for our mom. Your caring and affection will never be forgotten.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Christopher Rodriguez, Ricardo Garcia, Jr., Santana Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Jr., Roberto Galvan, Jr., Michael Rodriguez and honorary pallbearer, Juan Vega, Jr.

Public visitation will be on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
