George Alaniz

George Alaniz- beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to so many passed away at age 57 in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 3rd, 2024. George was born to proud parents Roberto and Inocencia Alanis on February 18th, 1966.

George loved to go fishing with family whenever possible. His siblings said George would always crack jokes and loved to make them laugh. He was known for his big heart always taking care of others before himself. He took care of his mother for many years as she was the biggest part of his heart. George was always offering to help his sister and brothers for whatever he could help them with. Before George became disabled he was a proud oilfield worker who worked hard for everyone. He was a man who would offer his last dollar to someone in need.

Georges siblings remember him as always being entertained on his “old phone” laughing and running errands around town on his motorized scooter. They fondly remember him always going to get a Coke Zero or an orange juice with his favorite marranitos. George gave them a lifetime worth of fun memories for them to carry in their hearts. George was not just their brother, he was their best friend.

George has now been reunited with his father Roberto Alanis and his little sister Elizabeth Alanis. His family has peace knowing they are together.

Left behind to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy is his mother, Inocencia Alanis Gaitan; sister, Becky Alanis; brothers, Rick Alanis and Maurice Alaniz; 4 cherished children and numerous nieces and nephews.

George’s siblings would like to send a very special thank you to everyone in their whole family for coming together and doing all they could during their time of need. Each and every one of you will be remembered in their hearts.

A public visitation for George will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 with a holy rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. An interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
