Gilbert Garcia was born October 16, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the parents of Gilbert Vela Garcia and Maria Aminta Garcia. He fell asleep in death Thursday August 23, 2018 with his family by his side. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He was baptized on October 1, 1965 as one of Jehovah's Witness; and served in Bethel for 2 years. He always remembered this as an awe-inspiring privilege. He shared many wonderful and exciting times with his family, who will miss him dearly. He had an incredible sense of humor. He always loved deeply and unconditionally. We will continue to remember all the things he did to make us happy. We look forward to seeing him again soon in the Paradise.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sabrina Zorzi Garcia, and grandson Julian Ashton Santa Cruz. He is also survived by his father Gilbert V. Garcia, mother Maria Aminta Garcia, sister Eunice G. Cantu (David, Leslie, Mark, Jessica), brother Robert Garcia (Missy, Ryan, Cameron). He is preceded in death by his daughter Shannon Brooke Garcia Santa Cruz.
There will be a Memorial Service Saturday August 25, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1808 Oak Ridge Dr., Portland, Texas 78374.
