Gloria Lala Garcia Hoy

Gloria “Lala” Garcia Hoy, 90 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on January 17, 2012. She was born in Laredo, Texas to Jose E. Garcia and Josephina G. Garcia.

She remained an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church on Greenwood until her illness.

Gloria worked as a L.V.N. at Christus Spohn Shoreline for 30 years of dedicated service.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hoy; two brothers, Gabriel Brambila and Edmond Garcia and a sister, Lupita Salinas.

Her memories will be cherished by her daughter, Anna Maria Hoy Saenz; grandchildren, Gloria Armijo and David Hoy (Rosa); great-grandchildren, Mercedes Martinez, Roy Armijo, Eric Elisardo, David Hoy, Jr., Roland Hoy, Prystine Hoy and Jeremiah Hoy, Michael “Mikee” Hinojosa, Jr., also surviving is her sister, Irene Garcia Torres and numerous nieces and nephews.

Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
