Harry C. Spurlock, age 84, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018. He was born November 6, 1933 to Matt & Mary Spurlock in Bath County, Kentucky, where he was raised. He received his GED while enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War. From Airman First class to Instrumentation Technician, Harry earned much education and experience. Harry married Helen Louise Adams on September 23, 1961. They raised four children, Janice Faye, Cynthia Lou, Amy Frances, and Alan Math. In 2017 they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Most memorable are times and employment abroad. At retirement, Dad became Papa. In these years he devoted his time to his grandchildren, studying books about the Bible, and helping Helen at home as she started her quilting business. After a struggle with Dementia and then Alzheimer’s with Lewy Body, Harry was surrounded by his family, his brother, Jim, and his family, when he went to be at peace with the Lord.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
