H.A. George of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on September 30, 2020. He was born in Mercedes, Texas on January 30, 1923 to Hester and Lily (Stevenson) George.

He graduated from Mercedes High School and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Elementary Education/Administration at Texas A&I Kingsville, Texas. He married Johnnie Pearl (Ashby) George on December 20, 1947.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie, who passed away in 2004. He is also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

H.A. is survived by his 2 daughters: Lindsay Gollnick and Shirley Fischer; 2 grandchildren: William Fischer and Christin Vega; 4 great-grandchildren: A.J. Fischer, Evan Fischer, Cash Vega and Kennedi Walker; 1 brother-in-law, 1 sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
