Helen Louise Spurlock

She received her high school diploma in 1961 and married Harry Conner Spurlock on September 23rd of the same year. They raised four children together and in 2017 they celebrated 57 years of marriage before his passing in 2018. Their most memorable time were during employment abroad in Saudi Arabia and St. Croix, USVI. Helen was a gifted quilter and after raising her family she started her own business, Helen Quilts & Quilting. She was involved with several local charities related to quilting, including Galilean Lutheran Church Peace by Piece - giving to those in need. After a recent diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer Helen passed away surrounded by the family when she went to be at peace with the lord.

She is survived by her four children, Janice F. Braun, Cynthia L. Hays, Amy F. Spurlock, and Alan M. Spurlock(Jennifer), and five grandchildren, Rachel Stewart (Chris), Daniel Braun (Stephanie), Wyatt Johnson, Kate Johnson, and Conner Spurlock.
