Hortencia Cisneros Perez

Hortencia Cisneros Perez passed away on April 4, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born in Odem, TX on September 18, 1933 to the late Simon and Maria Cisneros. Hortencia was a Licensed Vocational Nurse for many years and loved volunteering her time as a Eucharistic Minister and a Crucillista. She was a loving daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Simon Cisneros, Jr. and a daughter, Amanda G. Rodriguez.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Amalia G. Berger (Abel Munoz) and Jerry Garcia (Linda); her siblings, Marcos Cisneros (Berta), Jesus Cisneros (Aurelia), Cruz Cisneros (Olga) and Elvira Ramos; grandchildren, Anthony Cantu (Margaret), Calina Berger, Jerry Garcia, Jr. (Yvette), Jackie Garcia (Roger Perez), Rafael Cantu, Jr. and Jennifer Recio (Rick). Hortencia also has great-grandchildren, Amber Elaine Cantu, Audrey Marie Cantu, Alyssa Nicole Cantu, Phillip Castillo, Izabella Amanda Recio and Noah Alexander Garcia.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 3350 S. Alameda, on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
