Hulen Dean "Tutor" Ross

Hulen served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Navy after 23 years of service. He also worked and retired from Champlin/Citgo after 22 years of service. He had a passion for sports. He spent most of his life coaching and teaching his children, as well as other children in his community, and also when he was stationed overseas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jennie V. Abell and John B. Abell; his son, Kenneth Grant Ross, and various other family members.

He was survived by his wife, Minnie A. Ross; his son, Troy S. Ross; daughter, Tonya R. Lefkowitz; son, Mark (Rosemary) Acosta; son, Jason (Jacqueline) Garcia; son, Robert (Carrie) Ross; his 9 grandchildren; sister, Loretta (Billy) Scott; sister, Ginger (Ray) Koen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel at 9:00 AM, July 20, 2019, with funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery following the service.
