Isabel Guerra Zuniga

Isabel G. "Chavela" Zuniga, 90, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. She was born on September 4, 1920 in Hebbronville, Texas to Leocadia Reyna and Hector Guerra, Sr. Isabel was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvadeor S. Zuniga; her sisters, Dephina G., Balboa and Alda G. Perez.

Isabel leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Armando G. Zuniga, Arnold G. (Debbie) Zuniga; daughter, Lydia Z. (Carl) Castillo; brothers, Hector (Refugia) Guerra and Efrain Guerra; grandchildren, Major Salvador M. (Lucy) Zuniga, SGT Stephen M. Zuniga, Natalee Zuniga-Rivas, Jacqueline Z. (Patrick) Schneider and Christian A. Castillo. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Lucien J. Zuniga, Vivian A. Schneider, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that evening.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 11:00 am at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Armando G. Zuniga, Arnold G. Zuniga, Carl Castillo, Salvador M. Zuniga, Stephen M. Zuniga and Christian A. Castillo.
