My deepest condolences to the Capelo family I am the man today because of Mr Pedro Capelo I started working for him at the age of 11 taking down chairs setting him up at the chapel for a service picking them up doing trash sweeping mopping then as I got older Mr Pedro taught me how to drive and help me get my license then I started doing removals with him and Mrs Capelo I always think of this family very highly I myself have family that lives in corpus my wife and I always go to the cemetery and go visit I'm at the time I am retired now as a funeral director and embalmer and now it all to this family I will forever be grateful maybe I'll be at peace.

Dearest Jaime, Glen and family, I am deeply saddened to learn of your father's passing.  I have such beautiful and fond memories of your parents!  I looked forward to visiting with them, your grandparents, and the two of you,  during our trips to Corpus to see Grandma Viola.  I forever remember your Mom's sweet smile, her warm, loving embrace, your Dad's tenderness and gentle manner but most of all, I remember the incredible and devoted love he had for your Mom! I understand how difficult it is with losing our parents.  He was incredibly proud of his family! May the beautiful memories, shared love, and laughter you have of your Dad, your Popo, give you comfort and strength during this incredible difficult time. God bless you. My deepest condolences to The Capelo Family! I remember when I was a kid I worked at Allen’s Barbecue on Baldwin for my Dad. Mr Capelo  would come in to pickup barbecue for the staff at Angelus Funeral Home . I remember him because he would always give me a tip! I was twelve years old. Was a very nice man always smiling!

Jaime and Glen remembering the wonderful mements from their visit to Our home in New Jersey to celebrate Thanksgiving!  We had a wonderful day. My God give you peace in knowing that your parents are together again!

My sincere condolences and prayers to his sons and their families.  I have known Jaime since I was 4 years old.    Jaime while working at Ángelus Funeral Home, drove up with my dad to El Paso , Tx to bring back my mom and myself after we had been in a car accident. My mom had passed away and I survived the accident.  His devotion to his faith as a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which was our local parish.  I remember him seeing him again at the local health department as he went in to get copies of death certificates and I worked there.   I was able to see him again a year ago when we were in the same senior living home. It brought a big smile to see his smiling face and can still hear his laughter. May He Rest In Peace.  🙏❣️

Back in the 1970s and early 1980s I as a Chicano was rejected by the Mex-Americans who believe then selfs to be middle class.. Mr. Capelo Sr. was one of a few Mex-Americans in Corpus Christi who welcome me with sincere open arms.  He excepted me for who I was and what I believe.  I love him and I never forgot that.  Mr. Capelo got his first class angel wings.   My sincere sympathy to all the Capelo family and to my very long lost friend, his son Jaime.  Tlamatini-vicente carranza
