

Jim received his diploma from Ysleta High then attended Phoenix Refrigeration and Air Conditioning School where he received his certification and license. He was a member and was baptized at Ysleta Baptist Church.Later in life he had a 7 year career as a caregiver for the State of New Mexico. Jim was an avid fly fisherman, PBR fan and Dallas Cowboy Fan while living in Texas. He became a Denver Bronco Fan when he became a resident of Bloomfield, NM.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Neomia Harper of El Paso, TX.
Survivors include a brother, Guy Lee Harper of Stephensville, TX and sister, Brenda Harper Pierce of Corpus Christi, TX; nephews, Tony Harper and Todd Harper both of Fort Worth, TX; nieces, Tammy Harper Shumake of Dallas, TX, Gwenlyn Pierce Wilson of Corpus Christi, TX; aunt, Imagene Harper Cox of Las Vegas, NV; uncle, Raymond Russell of Pawhuska, OK; several cousins also survive him.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Cowboy Church of Erath County in Stephensville, TX.
