

James Harvey Maresh, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home on April 8, 2015. Doctors gave him only a few weeks to live in 2013 but God gave us 2 more years with our daddy. He was born on September 11, 1937 in Halletsville, Texas to Charles and Marion Maresh. The family moved to Corpus Christi where he graduated from CC College Academy. On November 30, 1957 he married his “Doll” Gladys and they had four children. James retired from Rainbo Bakery with over 30 years of service and was well known up and down the streets of Leopard as the Breadman. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Kenny. He is survived by his wife Gladys, children James (Liz) Maresh, Laurie (James) Garner, and Ja’Neen (Robert) Hight. Grandchildren: James Lee & Christin Garner, Travis Garner, Michelle & Kyle Fuehrer, Joshua, Garrett & Chase Hight and Great Grandchildren: Katelyn, Grady, Kade, Konner, & Leela, and his brother Charles Maresh and sister Pat Krnavek. Special Thanks to Dr. Lesang and Christus Spohn Hospice in their loving care of both James and also Gladys, and Father Don of St. Theresa’s. A visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
