

Jerry Clyde Mills, 91, of Corpus Christi, Texas, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 8, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas after a long illness. He was born on August 10, 1933, in Malden, Missouri.
Jerry joined the Air Force in Memphis, Tennessee and served during the Korean War. He met his wife in Laredo, Texas, where he was stationed, and they got married on March 6, 1956. He worked for Goodyear in both San Antonio, Texas and Wichita, Kansas and then moved to Corpus Christi, where he worked for Woolco. He then worked for Dillard's and became a Department Store Manager before his retirement. He went back to work for a short time for Appliances Mart, where he retired again for good. He worked hard, and he enjoyed life to the fullest, and was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to the ranch and having BBQ. He loved his beer too. He enjoyed watching old western movies, NASCAR racing, Horse Racing and was a big fan of Dallas Football, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Astros.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Mills, two brothers, John and Bill Mills, and a son, David George Mills, and one granddaughter, Maggy Mills.
He is survived by one surviving brother, Terry Mills of Memphis, Tennessee, his wife of 69 years, Rose Mills of Corpus Christi, Texas, two sons, Robert (Carol) Mills of Robstown, Texas and Richard Mills of Corpus Christi, Texas, and one daughter, Judy (Brad) Adair of Salado, Texas, his seven grandchildren, Jennifer Mills, Robert Mills Jr., Justin Adair, Jimmy Austin Adair, Jerry Adair, Richard Mills Jr., and Jamie Mills, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am and Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
