Joel Amaro Alcala, 66, of Robstown, Texas passed away on February 26, 2025. He was born in Matamoros, Tamp., Mexico on May 5, 1958 to Joel Amaro Vasquez and Manuela Alcala Gutierrez. He married Norma Leticia Amaro on May 20, 1980 in Galveston Texas.
Joel worked at Gulf Compress for 17 years. His wife, children and grandchildren were everything to him and he loved spending time with them.
Joel is preceded in death by his mother, Manuela Alcala Gutierrez; father, Joel Amaro Vasquez,; and daughter, Norma Leticia Amaro.
Left to cherish his memory are his spouse of 44 years, Norma Leticia Amaro; daughter, Karina Amaro (Richard Garcia); sons, Joel Amaro, Jr., and Arnold Amaro; and grandchildren, Anahi, Gabriella, America, Aylin, Aliyanna, Joel, Araceli, and Landon.
A public visitation for Joel will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
