He is survived by his wife Andree and his three children, Tyrone, Mary-Lynn and Janique, as well as four grandchildren, Bayani, Fabian, Alexandria and Xavier.
John was a World War II and Vietnam Veteran who served in the US Army for 30 years.
A private family funeral is planned for Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M.D. Anderson, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the American Cancer Society.
