Johnnie Luna Villarreal

With deep love and profound sorrow, the family of Johnnie L. Villarreal shares the news of his passing on November 6, 2025. Johnnie’s life was one of humility, perseverance, and joy—defined by hard work, laughter, and an unshakable love for his family.

He was the beloved son of Jose and Isabelle Villarreal, and one of Eight siblings - four sisters and three brothers - with whom he shared a lifetime of enduring love and connection.

Johnnie was the devoted husband of the late Agueda Velasquez Villarreal. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in faith, family, and community. He was a hardworking man and dedicated father of two; Ana Marie and Johnnie jr..

Johnnie's legacy further extends to his cherished grandchildren Fred Aaron Corona, and Alexis Nichole Villarreal, and several great-grandchildren - each of whom carries a part of his humor and feisty spirit forward. His love, and passion for life will live on in their hearts.

To know Johnnie was to celebrate life through song and laughter. You often found him playing guitar and singing ballads or hymns with friends, family or even the local cantina. He had an unbridled sense of humor along with the ability to laugh at himself, too.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, located at 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, on November 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The funeral service will follow at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

A committal service will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery on November 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
