Jose L. Salinas passed away on August 14, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 12, 1925 in Rio Grande, Texas to Maximiliaño and Maria Salinas. Jose will be remembered as a loving, caring, and faithful man who believed family and faith in God were some of the most important things in life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esperanza Salinas; two sons, Francisco and Manuel Salinas; one daughter, Rosalinda Teran, and one brother Manuel L. Salinas.
Jose leaves his memories to be cherished by his sons, Martin Salinas and Joe Salinas (Esmeralda); daughter, Dolores Gutierrez (Gilbert). He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2010, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Revival Center, 9801 S. P. I. D in Flour Bluff. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
