Joe was a proud graduate of Foy H. Moody High School and later earned his Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry from Corpus Christi State University. On June 27, 1981, he married the love of his life, Beatrice Gutierrez, beginning a beautiful journey together filled with love, dedication, and family.
Joe built a successful career as a Chemical Analyst at Celanese, where he was admired for his knowledge and precision. A passionate enthusiast of classic cars, Joe was a proud member of the Mustang Car Club and especially cherished his 1964 red Mustang. He had a deep love for sports, playing softball, racquetball, and golf, and was a devoted fan of the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys. His love for science extended beyond the workplace, often sharing educational chemical demonstrations with local schoolchildren to inspire the next generation.
Joe was known for his strong will, unwavering spirit, and steadfast principles. A man of action more than words, his family often heard his signature advice: “Don’t quit and don’t cry.” He led by example and poured his love into those around him, especially his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, whom he cherished above all.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Leticia Trevino and Terry Snell; and brother, Javier Trevino.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Trevino; daughters, Victoria Trevino Garza (Ruben Garza Jr.) and Bridget Elaine Trevino (Angelo Antonio Soto); and his treasured grandchildren, Isaiah Ezekiel Garza, Andrew Joseph Garza, and Benjamin Alexander Garza. He is also survived by his siblings: Gilbert (Lydia) Trevino, Ernie (Cyndi) Trevino, Thelma (Israel) Blanco, Leo Trevino, and Angie Salas.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Joe’s daughters and to Angel Bright Hospice for the compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
