Juanita Garza Garza Guerra

Juanita Garza Guerra, 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. She was born August 6, 1928 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She passed away with her loving husband, of 63 years, Manuel, Sr. by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed. Juanita owned and operated Bertmond’s Enterprises located at the Corpus Christi Trade Center for 25 years.

Juanita is preceded in death by her father, Luciano Garza and her mother, Marcela Martinez. She is survived by her four children, Manuel Jr. (Marcia) Guerra, Gloria (Wally) Rodriguez Jr., Robert (Sally) Guerra and Raymond Lee Guerra; eleven grandchildren, Michelle (Anna) Guerra, Manuel Guerra,III, Jackylnn (Sam) Blevins, Melissa Guerra, Daniel Ray Guerra, Louis Rodriguez, Clayton Rodriguez, Rebecca (Paul) Calderon, Rachel (Bryan) Moore, Sara Leija and Christopher (Amity) Cox . Also surviving are fourteen great-grandchildren.

Public visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Bayside Home Health for the care and attention they gave to Juanita during her time of need, Third Coast Ambulance Service for providing transportation to Juanita when needed and also to Dr. Clyde Rutherford for his care.
