Juanita M. Hernandez

Juanita M. Hernandez, aged 95, went to be with our Lord on January 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was born on September 29, 1921, in Odem, Texas, the daughter of Gregoria B. and Jose Marroquin, Sr.

On August 27, 1938, Juanita married the love of her life, Modesto G. Hernandez in San Diego, Texas. They were married for 64 years. She enjoyed crocheting while watching her novelas. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sister, Maria Cuellar; her children - Luis (Mary Alice), Enedina (Joe) Garza, Rosendo (Carmen) and Eloisa Miller. 29 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Cha Cha. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gregoria B. and Jose Marroquin, Sr., her husband, Modesto G. Hernandez; her siblings, Guadalupe, Carlos, Gilberto, Ricardo, Gabriella, Consuelo, Fidel, Jose, Jr and Santiago.Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
