

A graduate from Miller High School in 1967. He served in the United States Marine Corp as Lance Corporal and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired as a Maintenance Engineer from Harbor Playhouse and Texas State Museum of Asian Culture and Education Center after many wonderful years.
He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Jeopardy and CBS Sunday Morning Program. He also enjoyed parties, music and concerts but most of all he loved helping people, being a good friend and living each day to the fullest.
Julian is preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe B. Lopez.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cynthia L. Pina-Lopez; his father, Julian Lopez, Sr.; mother-in-law, Beve Flores; his siblings: Mario Lopez, Gustavo Salazar (Jennifer), Graciela L. Olivo (George); sister and brother-in-law’s, Elizabeth Ponce (Bill), James McMinn (Amy) Barbarra McMinn-Gonzales (Micheal) and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne with Internment to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers his wish would be to help out someone in need and passing it forward. He leaves behind many cherished memories and will be truly missed.
