Keith E. Miller

Keith Edward Miller, Age 81, died on August 19, 2011, after a long illness. He was born June 29, 1930 in San Benito, Texas to Mayne and Letha Miller. He lived most of his life in Corpus Christi. Although he was retired at the time of his death, Keith ran a number of successful business enterprises during his lifetime. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Corpus Christi for many years where, prior to his illness, he served the church as an active member of the deacon body, as a second grade Sunday school teacher and as a member of the church's building committee. Keith had a heart for mission work and was a founding member of the First Baptist "Hammer Slammers". As a member of the Hammer Slammers, he helped build churches in Utah, Montana, Texas, Mexico and Haiti.

He is survived y his wife of 62 years, Ardella Miller; son, Rodney (Linda) Miller; daughter, Kelly Norton; grandsons: William Norton and Logan Norton; granddaughter, Erin (Justin) Lightsey all of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandson, 2nd Lt. Drew (Jessie) Miller; great-granddaughter, Mia Elizabeth of Camp LeJeune, North Carolina; grandson, Daniel Norton of San Clemente, California.

Private Services will be conducted Tuesday, August 23, 2011.
