He attended Foy H. Moody High School and graduated in 1977. He continued his education at Clairemont Junior College from 1977 - 1978 and then transferred to Laredo Junior College. He enjoyed playing basketball in high school and college.
In 1979, Larry started his first of many careers at Corpus Christi National Bank where he supervised in the mail room along with purchasing and statement rendering.
After 12 years at the bank, Larry decided to pursue his dreams that became a life-long hobby by starting his own paint & body shop in 1991.
Later in 1995, he began work at the Corpus Christi Caller Times as a direct mail machine feeder.
During this time, he started coaching basketball and volleyball for his son and daughter at Holy Family Catholic School. He really enjoyed coaching and was an amazing mentor for 6 years while employed there.
After 15 years at Caller Times, he landed a great opportunity to work on the Corpus Christi Naval Base as a L-3 communications contractor. He ran electrical checks on UH-60 helicopter blades, tail rotors, sanding blades, an also removal of tipblocks on UH-60.
After getting layed off, Larry formed and worked at his own Pro Cuts Lawn Care service up until he fallen ill.
He retired in 2018 an also became a grandfather that year and loved his “Booger” wholeheartedly. He spent most of his time at home, parks, and McDonald’s with his son and grandson up until his departure.
He is preceded in death by his eldest brother, Marcus Earls and their parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his brothers Elbert Earls Jr and Brent Earls; his daughter Jennifer Leigh Earls; and son Larry Coolidge Earls Jr. Lastly but not least, his grandchild, Trason Blaine Earls.
