Lilia Torres Franco

She is preceded in death by her husband, Adelaido Franco Sr.; son, Benjamin Franco; granddaughter, Rachel Franco and five siblings, Roberto Torres, Braulia De La Cruz, Lauriana Villa, Sara Meza and Trunfio Torres.

Lilia is survived by her five children, Martha Moser (Roger), Mary Carroll (Thomas), Juanita Irizarry, Adelaido Franco, Jr. (Maria Elena) and Lydia Sosa; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; one sister, Maria Marroquin, one brother, Servando Torres; daughter-in-law, Florencia and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a longtime member of El Mesias Baptist Church and volunteered her time helping Evangelists like Billy Graham and Oral Roberts with their mission by donations. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Alameda Oaks Nursing Home nurses and staff for their great attention and special care given to Lilia.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Chapel service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 10:00 am with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
