Linda Lee Crittenden Bazan was called home to her Savior on July 14, 2023. Linda, 67, went peacefully while in her home in Corpus Christi, TX with her loving husband of 44 years, Arturo M. Bazan by her side.
She was born on December 8, 1955 in Corpus Christi, TX to Ellis F. Crittenden and Elida Perez Crittenden. Ellis passed on shortly after her birth and she was raised by her stepfather Romulo O. Guzman.
Linda truly lived her life to the fullest and was able to accomplish so much in her lifetime. Upon graduating with her Associates from Del Mar college, she began her career as a paralegal at a local attorney’s office. After meeting the love of her life, Arturo Bazan and getting married on August 19, 1978 in Corpus Christi, TX she acquired her real estate license. She continued with her real estate career while working at JCPenny’s in the furniture department in sales. She had a love for sales and it showed in her performance. After becoming a mother she stayed home to raise her two daughters, but eventually realized how much she missed the day to day life of a salesman. With her husband and daughters by her side they opened a family owned and operated jewelry store, La’Tash Jewelers (a combination of both her daughters names). They successfully ran the jewelry store for many years until her health forced her to retire. She spent her retired years loving life as a Domestic Goddess, as she referred to herself, being a Mom to her daughters, and a Momo to her grandchildren, including all her adopted kids and grandkids (friends of her daughters and grandchildren, who she loved as her own). She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Most Precious Blood for over 30 years.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Fred Crittenden Sr., Romulo Olivares Guzman, Elida Perez Guzman and an infant daughter LouAnn Bazan.
She is survived by her husband Arturo Bazan; daughters Latalie (Billy) Schooley and Ashley (Andrew) Figueroa; Stacey Perez Alvarado who she raised as a daughter; brother Ellis (Nina) Crittenden; twin sisters Elida (Roy Sr.) Vela and Ynocencia Guzman; granddaughters Lexi Lee, Peyton June and Lillyanne Faye Schooley and Arianna Levah Figueroa; grandsons Jaedon Ray, Riley Andrew and Grayson Alexander; along with numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be her son in law Billy Schooley, her grandsons Jaedon and Riley, her Godson and nephew Roy Vela Jr., her nephew Eric Vela, and one of her many adopted kids Buddy Thompson.
