Lucila Vanderpool

Lucila Guajardo Vanderpool “Lucy”, age 74, went to be with the Lord On Thursday June 9, 2022. She was born on Saturday January 24, 1948, in Bishop, Texas. Lucy worked at the MHMR Corpus Christi State School. She reached her retirement after 25 years in the year 2000.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ricardo Guajardo Sr.; mother, Felipa S. Ramos; stepfather, Esmerejildo Ramos and her son, Leonard Vanderpool Jr. “Dinky”.

Lucy will be remembered by her daughter-in-law, Gloria O. Vanderpool;

grandchildren, Ricky Lee Vanderpool (Crystal), Gilbert A. Lopez (Thelma) and Amanda N. Vanderpool (Dan); great-grandchildren, Robert, Aydin, Elizabeth, Sammy and Kairi; brothers, Ricardo Guajardo Jr. (Olga) and Alfredo Ramos (late wife, Noemi); sisters, Maria Consuelo Guajardo, Maria Ramos and Veronica Ramos; uncle, Louis Sanchez (Nona); 7 nieces; 9 nephews and numerous cousins.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne St., Corpus Christi, TX from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm that same evening.

Communion Service will be held on Saturday 18, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 540 Hiawatha St., Corpus Christi, TX at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
