Manuela Hernandez Flores

Manuela Hernandez Flores, age 86, of Falfurrias, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 surrounded by her loving family; our beloved mother now rejoices and rests in heaven with her Savior Jesus Christ. Manuela was born June 25, 1935.

Manuela was a loving, caring mother to her two children, a grandmother, great-grandmother and nanny who dedicated her entire life to caring for her family as well as those she considered her extended family. She was known by those who knew and loved her as “Molly” as well as those she cared for as “Nana”; every person who knew her, loved her abundantly. Her love for children was admired by all, for over50 years she raised many children she loved dearly as her own. She was an avid quilter and made sure everyone in her family had their own quilt made with her absolute love, she also loved to dedicate her time to her church food and clothing pantry because it was always in her giving nature to help those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Maria Juana Hernandez and brother, Juan Hernandez.

Manuela is survived by her two children, Celia Resendez, of Portland, Texas, Ricardo (Norma Jean) Flores of Bishop, Texas; sister Maria Guadalupe Longoria of Falfurrias, Texas; grandchildren Breanne (Johnny) Contreras, Sari Flores, Richard (Thelma) Flores, Cassandra (Sidney) Miller; great-grandchildren Harper Contreras; Ziva, Zaylie and Zavery Garcia; Zak Flores; Mia Davis, Kain, Sonie, Aden and King Miller as well as numerous, nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for MANUELA will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel - Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A vigil service and rosary will occur Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 7:00 PM, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A chapel service will occur Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM, 3442 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. An interment will occur Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Memorial Park, 4607 FM Road 1889, Robstown, Texas 78380.
