Margaret J. Swilling

Jeannette Margaret (Berger) Swilling, born April 21, 1933 passed away on May 11, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Though our hearts feels a little empty, our joy for her surpasses our pain. Jeannette was born in Kansas City to Lawrence & Margaret (DeLancey) Berger and moved to Corpus Christi with her two brothers & sisters Joe, Bruce, Karen & Barbara in 1942. After attending and graduating from Incarnate Word Academy High School in 1951 she worked a variety of jobs before marrying Kenneth Swilling in 1954.  Jeannette is survived by her husband of 57 years Kenneth Swilling, 10 children along with 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Fr. Joseph Berger (1997) and one son Joe Swilling (2012). She is survived by her children; Mark (Terrie) of Garland TX., Cynde Wilson of CC TX., Matthew of CC TX., Janice (Roger) Michels of Calgary Canada, Luke (Martha) of Manor TX., John (Maggie) of Georgetown TX., Mary (Richard) Chesney of Spring TX., Angie (Joseph) Kalinec of CC TX., Julie (Steve) Cotter of Dallas TX., Sandie (Mark) Jessen of Sweetwater TN. Grandchildren include;  Paul, Caroline, Dustin, Jamie, Jason, Hope, Kathryn, Aubrey, Kayla, Katie, Kimberley, Emily, Carrie, Andrew, Kyle, Kenneth, Chris, Cason, Sarah, Taylor & Casey and great-grandchildren; Parker, Collin & Carson. Pallbearers will be Mark Swilling, Matt Swilling, Luke Swilling, John Swilling, Richard Chesney and Roger Michels. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening  at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.  A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
