Maria Louisa Garcia

Maria Louisa Perez Garcia passed away on March 29, 2015 at the age of 57. She was born on October 30, 1957 in Ockechobee, FL to the late Julio and Othelia Perez. Maria moved to Corpus Christi soon after that. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family and plants to the fullest. She was very full of life and was a wonderful and fun loving soul who brought happiness to everyone she met. She was an amazing cook, gardener and loved her plants.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, George Louis Garcia; daughter, Angela Flores (Freddy); step-daughters, Georgina Garcia and Christina De La Cruz; cousin, Juan S. Cortez Jr.; uncle, Juan S. Cortez Sr.; grandsons, Jose Perez and Zeth Flores and granddaughters, Jasmine and Faith Flores and Jazlyn Garcia.

The family would like to give special thanks to Willie and Amelia Arellano, Mary and Reynaldo Cano, friends forever in this life and in the next.

The family will be receiving friends at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm that same evening. Chapel services will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 12:00 pm with interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
